About Me
I’m a self-proclaimed Business-Geek Entrepreneur. After finishing my formal education in 2007, I’m off to start my real education with hands-on experience with learning in the real world. This is a blog of my journey.
My Story:
In 2001 I graduated from University of Michigan with a BS in Computer Science. I started working for IBM doing Linux/AIX kernel work. While I enjoyed flipping bits, I realized that the real challenge in life is creating something more than a computer program. On one business trip I was sitting in a Raleigh hotel room, I realized that someday I wanted to create my own company. However, to do that I knew that I needed to know more than how to code a PCI Bus Probe. I decided to go back to school and get my MBA. Less than I year later I started the next chapter in my life enrolling in the MBA program at The University of Texas.
The MBA experience was more fulfilling than even my undergrad experience as I learned more about what “really” drives the world (it’s not computers…..yet). Have multiple professors who were VCs and entrepreneurs, I learned what it takes to create the next big thing. I learned that it’s the little things that matter. Most importantly, I learned about life perspective and the balance that it requires.
Upon graduation in 2007, I now embark on the next chapter of my life to take those next steps in reaching my goals.
I hope to pass off some of my experience in this blog.
